Responsible behavior in the 21st century
How to act to overcome the challenges of the 21st century: pandemics, climate change, major forest fires, food shortages, (nuclear) wars, mass immigration, extinction of plants and animals, ...?
We see here a repetition of biblical disasters: the banishment from the Garden of Eden, the Flood, the Tower of Babel, the Ten Plagues of Egypt.
What is the cause of the disasters that are coming our way in this century? Is it God who intervenes?
According to the Bible, how the disasters were overcome:
(a) The banishment from the Garden of Eden: can be ended only by recognizing the One True God and obeying the Ten Commandments through the knowledge of good and evil.
(b) The Flood: The family was saved and a pair of each animal. This means that the traditional family and the gender differences were restored.
(c) The Tower of Babel: The peoples separated and each people went back to its own land.
(d) The Ten Plagues of Egypt: The Jews went to the promised land of God. Slavery was abolished.
2. So what should we do to prevent the apocalypse?
Recognize that there is only one God and no idols.
(1) Contemporary idolatry is visible in materialism, consumerism, hypes, idol worship. You can distance yourself from these idols by limiting purchases to the bare minimum. That will reduce industrial pollution by 90 percent.
(2) Obedience to the one true God revealed in the Ten Commandments, all of which are the expression of love for one's neighbor.
- This love is selfless and unconditional, so that the elderly can count on good care
- so that divorce is avoided, because thanks to the unconditional nature of love, an argument can never be found for divorce,
- so that there is no stealing and wealth is distributed equitably
- so that violence is never used.
(3) Focusing on family life. We continue to live and work in the vicinity of the people with whom we know we are connected. Movements are limited to the bare minimum, resulting in 90 percent less traffic on land, in the air and at sea.
(4) Recognition of the statement 'male and female created he them' as described in the creation story. This is passed on in education. This does not mean a condemnation of those who deviate from the traditional division of roles, but a confirmation of motherhood and fatherhood that ensures the survival of humanity.
(5) There will be no world government and no union of nations. Each nation is responsible for the land of the ancestors. That is why all immigrants and their children return to their countries of origin. Only those who have lived in the country for at least five generations can stay there. The returned immigrants receive sufficient solidarity support from the countries from which they left.
(6) All the Jews go to Israel and the Muslims withdraw from this country. The temple is being rebuilt. This is an absolute precondition for achieving peace, well-being and prosperity in the Islamic countries. If this requirement of God is not met, the misery in those countries will continue, the Muslims will continue to kill each other and destroy their cultural heritage even more.
Mankind can find the Garden of Eden. The 20th century can be the best century ever if the six guidelines above are followed. Otherwise, we are heading for a man-made apocalypse. This is a question of Third World War or Third World Peace.
